Americans Wanting to Leave the USA is a Growing Non-Partisan Trend and ESW is Here to Help

We Don't Care Whether You're a Democrat or Republican, We're Committed to Supporting Our Clients and Our Community

We of all people shouldn't have to repeat the above headline. But given decades of immense propaganda and brainwashing of Americans to 'pick a team' or more accurately 'choose your fighter' in our present cold Civil War, and more more recently, embrace their preferred form of American exceptionalism, whether it be the 'Trumpist' MAGA flag-waving or LGBT rainbow flag-waving variety...we must say the following!

ESW is Non-Partisan, Non-Sectarian Company

Being an American who wishes to leave the USA and take your family, your livelihood and your hard-earned savings somewhere else is neither a Democratic nor a Republican thing. It's actually an American thing, if you recognize the immutable fact that the Americas as we know them are products of conquest and associated mass migration. It's an indisputable fact, that our ancestors all came to the Americas from somewhere else. And yes, for those of you who refer to yourselves as progressive or even proudly woke, this category includes blacks whose ancestors were brought here as slaves, California Latinos whose ancestors didn't cross the border but had a new US-Mexican border cross them (you can be glad Texas is not a part of Mexico and still acknowledge the historic reality of conquest), and the Native American Nations or as the Canadians refer to them, First Nations. Who were not, it must be said of the Apache and other tribes, so peaceable toward their fellow tribes before and when the White Man came.

More About Who We Are at ESW

And to reiterate, Xit Strategy World LLC dba ExitStrategyWorld is a non-partisan, non-sectarian company launched in 2023 to serve this growing market. As for our corporate commitment to diversity, our CEO is a New Yorker born to Indian immigrant parents from Kerala, a historically Christian portion of southwest India with close trade and cultural ties to Persia and the Arab world. Our co-founder and CMO is a Spanish-speaking Texan of German, English, Scots-Irish and Scandinavian heritage who was raised in the barrio and happens to have black cousins, while our recently onboarded COO is a New Englander of Jewish and Italian descent. Our first hired regional editor is an Egyptian Muslim from Cairo, our second hired regional editor is a White Russian with German ancestry who was raised in the American South and served in the US Army, and our Southern Cone contributing writer is a proud expat American Jew.

ESW's Founding Mission Statement Mentioned the 'Repats'

ESW's target market includes, as we wrote in our mission statement back in October 2023, the growing number of American citizens who will seek to claim citizenship by ancestry or 'repats'. Which is highly relevant to our current offers in Mexico, Greece, Georgia and Russia, plus potential future offers in other countries such as Ireland and Italy that welcome US citizens who have common ancestry with the natives. We expect many affluent black Americans in the coming years will also be researching and visiting the Caribbean island republics as attractive destinations to feel closer to their ancestral roots, while saving on taxes and obtaining a second passport for themselves and their children.

The New Republic Promotes Americans Quietly (or Noisily) Heading for the Exits

Here's a piece published today (02/20/2025) by The New Republic, reporting on the growing percentage of Americans looking at exit strategies:

...most of the initial wave of American emigration will likely feature those with the means to leave—those who possess foreign passports, job opportunities abroad, or lots of disposable income. But this all points in the same direction: With Trump back in office and faithfully executing the blueprint for wrecking the country known as Project 2025 while collaborating with the world’s richest man to trash democracy and wage a war on brain cells in the federal government, a growing number of people in this country see the writing on the wall, and they’re looking for their bug-out plan. According to a Gallup poll released before the election, the 17 percent of Americans who said they wanted to leave the country in 2023 rose to 21 percent in 2024.

One user on TikTok posted a video of herself waiting in the car as her Mexican-American husband applied for dual citizenship at the Mexican consulate in Houston, noting that she plans to as well. “For me, I don’t think it’s going to stop with Mexicans,” she said in the video. “It’s going to keep going on down the list, and at some point, Black folks here in the U.S., we’re going to feel what’s happening—we’re already seeing what’s happening, so I don’t feel exempt.”

That she, her husband and others would want to take such precautions should come as no surprise. As conditions in the U.S. worsen and the country becomes increasingly poorer, increasingly authoritarian, and increasingly violent, there is a good chance that more will consider leaving.

A Few Words Regarding Ideological Convergence, 'Horseshoe Theory' and 'Anti-Americanism'

Ironically, the TikToker which the TNR article touts has noticed that many Americans with MAGA/pro-Trump profiles have followed his channel, curious about ways to emigrate from the US, while other Trump supporters have accused him of anti-Americanism. Likewise, the pro-Russian TikTokers we've followed in recent months, such as @Yaroslavictakes, have made multiple videos about presumably Democrat-leaning Americans calling them traitors for enjoying life in 'Putin's Russia'.

Of course, die-hard neolibcon Establishmentarians, defenders of the Foreign Policy Blob and Military Industrial Complex will refer to this convergence as 'Horseshoe Theory' and claim Far-Right and Far-Left Americans resemble each other more than they'd care to admit. But the problem with this analysis is the inability to look in the mirror, at the censorial desperation, even potential radicalization of the so-called Center. If you truly believe your words that President Trump is a fascist, an Orange Hitler, what does that imply about justifying particular actions against him or his supporters? And if NATO, Atlanticism and the 'rules based order' have proven so fragile that all it took was one rogue American President to shatter them into pieces, just how brittle were they to begin with?

This was the awkward question Vice President JD Vance posed to the assembled EUrocrats at last week's Munich Security Conference, when he assailed their cherished notions of a 'firewall' against the Alternative for Germany political party or their claimed Russian interference excuse for nullifying a Romanian election. The psychology here is not dissimilar to the tendency of a few Russians to blame the collapse of the USSR on Mikhail Gorbachev being a pro-Western traitor, even possibly some sort of MI6 plant. Is Russia really so powerful as to break the Collective West, or is the Collective West breaking itself down? Did the USSR die by aggression, or did it commit suicide in August-December 1991? Likewise with the US(S)A and the EU(SSR) in our time?

Regardless of the political or cultural motivation, or the fact that wherever you go, there you are, we concur with the professional matchmakers who say that there's someone out there for almost everyone. There's a country out there for nearly everyone who is willing to put in the work to adapt and assimilate, including by learning a new language along with their children.

We Don't Care Whether You're a Democrat or Republican, We're Committed to Supporting Our Clients and Our Community

Another disclaimer we need to publish here, about politics:

Even with our editorial line being strongly conserva-tarian, while embracing the possibilities of a multipolar world, we don't care whether a client happens to be gay, or what your personal politics are, if they're Democrat or Green Party leaning. That really doesn't matter to our team. While we would caution many American progressives who view the European Union as a rising economic and civilizational alternative to the USA that the EU and its Western European core of France and Germany have severe problems, with their own migration-related social tensions, disputed elections and fiscal deficits/solvency crises looming, people should nonetheless "go where they're wanted."

One of the reasons we're establishing an online community based on the values of liberty and mutual respect is to give people a 'safe space' (a woke phrase we'll gladly borrow) in which they can exchange ideas and information about the best places to move. We're going to be recording near-weekly updates on investment migration trends and changing laws to keep our subscribers up-to-date on the latest developments. But in order to let the readers and listeners know about our brand identity and what they're buying, we should set down some core convictions below about how we see the world unfolding over the next several years, even decades.

The EU Collectively is Not a Safe Haven, But Some European Countries Will Be Safe Havens from the Coming Break up of the Collective West

Our team's conviction is that after 500 years of Western Europeans hegemonic behavior and the handover of the Globalist Empire from London to Washington that occurred during the 20th century, Southern Europe will prove a safer bet for Anglo-American emigrants than the EU's Franco-German-Benelux core. This is largely due to the fact that, while the Schengen Zone has been a marvelous enabler of post-1990s labor and cultural mobility, creating a new class of not only supranational bureaucrats, but also the digital and skilled labor nomads we service at ESW, the common euro currency is likely doomed to break up into a more rational German-Nordic NordEuro bloc versus the Southern European drachma and lira holders. Greece and Italy in particular are likely to revive their respective national currencies, even if Spain and Portugal find a way to somehow hang on to the euro's successor currency.

On a related note, for Frenchmen fleeing the financial and political upheavals in their homeland, the Francophone Maghreb may prove to be a limited safe haven, albeit with some political instability due to large scale-repatriations of North African migrants and loss of euro-denominated remittances on the horizon.

A Breakdown of National and Regional Alternatives to the Collective West

In Eastern Europe, ESW is bullish on Bulgaria and its vast postwar neighbor Russia, due to Russia's huge affordable lands and natural resource base drawing skilled emigrants from a broken Collective West. One might even include Cyprus in the Eastern European category, due to its large Russian expat population. But we freely acknowledge that many American progressives and Western Europeans have been conditioned to simply not want to hear anything good whatsoever about Russia or the Russian people, given the bloody war in Ukraine. For these people, Mexico, El Salvador (with the caveat of these countries major reliance on the US dollar) and the Southern Cone of South America are inviting alternatives, which we would tend to recommend.

Although the Caribbean island nations lack the land mass or resources to absorb a large amount of North American emigrants, we believe they will continue to enjoy a valuable niche in the global passports and residencies marketplace. As a cheaper residency via real estate purchase alternative to the Caribbean island passports, we are currently researching the Dominican Republic. After Trump’s second term, Cuba looms as the next great younger Boomer/GenX retirement haven.

In the Middle East, due to its superlative investment climate and pro-investor monarchy, the UAE will continue to reign supreme as the migration and real estate investment destination of choice. But as our real estate consulting partners on the ground tell us, there will be abundant real estate development opportunities in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Türkiye. Including for American Muslim investors who wish to diversify their family holdings and their children's educational opportunities internationally into Islamic lands.

For Southeast Asia, where ESW has established a foothold via a relationship with a leading business and migration law firm in Hong Kong, Malaysia is another intriguing but challenging market for marketing to Europeans and Americans, as are Indonesia and Vietnam. There is a remote possibility that by the 2030s Japan and South Korea, recognizing their national birth dearth problems, will set up some sort of investment migration scheme and encourage Westerners to have children there. But a more likely scenario is these countries could be among the first to innovate and actually use artificial wombs to help native and often single Japanese and Korean women procreate well into their 40s. The Chinese with their highly advanced biotech industry could be right behind them.

Further afield, looking at the trends for countries with no shortages of people and young workforces that will attract investors as we approach the 2030s, India and Africa will be the final frontier markets for both outbound and related inbound migration-by-investment. African nations including presently unrecognized Somaliland could compete to develop attractive, mini-Dubai Free City enclaves along the Indian Ocean basin for Gulf Arab, Chinese and especially new-money Indian investors. Nigeria is already one of the fastest millionaire-producing countries on the African Continent, and homegrown CBI firms with offices in Lagos and Abuja are heavily advertised online.
