Antigua & Barbuda Signs Visa-waiver Agreement with China

In a development that has received little press in the post-Western media, the Chinese quietly expanded their tourism and investment diplomacy in the Caribbean. On January 22, 2024 Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne and his Foreign Minister Chet Greene came to Beijing. Days later, an agreement that had undoubtedly been in the works for months was announced with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi: the People's Republic of China and the Caribbean island republic will mutually waive visa entry for each other's citizens.
Among the countries of the OECS (Organization of Eastern Caribbean States), Commonwealth of Dominica passport holders already enjoy visa-free access to the PRC among 143 countries and territories. The latest agreement will enhance the appeal of the Antigua & Barbuda passport for both Mainland PRC and overseas Chinese seeking a second citizenship.
In the coming days following the eagerly awaited ESW main site launch, we'll be researching and writing more about honorary consuls and special economic representatives of these sovereign Caribbean island nations in Dubai, UAE--as well as the SCO bloc countries. After all, we don't see why Russians and Chinese should be the only ones to profit from these rising Western Hemisphere bridges to the Eurasian markets. If there is a Cold War II Great Bifurcation of the Global Economy--which in reality, will be more like a self-isolation of the declining U.S. and Washington's closest allies from rising Eurasia--then as expected, it's going to come with many side doors. For all the rumblings lately in CBI trade industry publications about a Cold War II-fueled EU or US/UK crackdown on second passports via Caribbean CBI for Russians and Chinese, why should those side doors remain open only for the richest and best connected people in (post)Western countries? Why shouldn't American and Canadian citizen entrepreneurs and digital nomads be keenly interested in visa-free access to the world's largest economy in China?
When we say that ExitStrategy.World is a multi-polar platform, bringing developments like these to the attention of our audience is part of what we mean. If you know, then you know (IYKTYK)--but we're here to help you know. Watch this space for exciting announcements as we at ESW expand our package of internationalization services and partnerships in the coming weeks.
