Tim Kirby and Russia's Leading Expert Attorney on Western Migration

On Friday September 13, 2024 at 12:30 pm Eastern Time (7:30 pm Moscow time) our CEO VJ Varghese live streamed his buddy Tim Kirby, an American football offensive lineman from the Buckeye State and former RT travel show host who has become a land developer with his American Villages in Russia project in the Moscow Oblast town of Istra (the old pre Russian Revolution name of this town is Voskresenskoye--named for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ). This beautiful town 25 miles (40 kilometers) northwest of Moscow is roughly a single hour's drive without traffic from the Kremlin, essentially making it a bedroom community of Russia's 12 million plus capital.

Early in the program Tim mentioned that two of the 20 lots in Istra have been recently purchased by foreigners and he's anticipating several more properties among the remaining 18 lots will be bought by the end of 2024. The price for each of the regular-sized lots is roughly $50,000. As Tim says to any Americans dreaming of a large suburban double lot with all the conveniences of Russia's largest city nearby--real estate within commuting distance from Moscow isn't cheap.

ESW was privileged to co-host Tim's good friend Timur Beslangurov, a Russian migration lawyer who knows the USA very well, having lived in South Dakota as an exchange student in the mid-1990s and been a member of the AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association). Timur is the leading practicing attorney expert on Russian immigration laws and the recent presidential decree pertaining to Western migration to the Russian Federation. Timur is a well-connected individual who knows several members of the State Duma committee on migration--Timur mentioned early in the program that he saw the draft of the decree several weeks before the Kremlin published it in mid-August. In addition to assisting with immigration paperwork, Timur's law firm Vista Migration also assists foreigners in acquiring long-term leaseholds of Russian farmland that can be converted to full ownership upon the foreign buyer/s naturalization in the RF.
