'Watch Japan' -- A Decade of V the Guerrilla Economist Forecasts Vindicated as "the Mischief Engine"

From the Rogue Money (predecessor to RogueNews) archives, we have dug out the January 2015 seminal essay by our CEO VJ Varghese aka V the Guerrilla Economist, describing the global importance of the Yen Carry Trade, the endgame of the last Cold War with Soviet Russia; the relationship to a long-hidden history behind President Nixon's famous world-historic opening to Maoist China in the late 1960s, which in turn set the stage for President Reagan's successful diplomacy to end the Cold War and hasten the demise of the USSR.

The Guerrilla has certainly not been the only observer to have stressed the importance of the Yen Carry Trade in the last decade. Frequent RogueNews guest Dr. Jim Willie also had a tag line 'watch Japan' that he repeated on numerous Internet alt media shows for many years, discussing how the ability to borrow yen at negative real interest rates (in effect, bankers were being paid to borrow rather than having to pay for the privilege--aka money for next to nothing but a few keystrokes into a database) and convert it to dollars or eurodollars was a multi-trillion dollar dark subsidy for the biggest Wall Street players---many of them connected to the CIA dating back to the Agency's founding in the late 1940s as an Anglophile Wall Street and OSS alum bankers/lawyers club.

James recalls when he first met V in the autumn of 2014 confirming that his first Washington D.C. internship back in the mid-2000s was with a former personal secretary to one of the Rockefellers, who was assigned upon entering the banking world in the late 1970s to none other than Chase Manhattan Bank in Tokyo--a key player in the CIA's Mischief Engine monetary manipulations that would accelerate the drain of the USSR's precious hard currency reserves via the Russian Far Eastern back door of 'Komsomol capitalism' and right-side steering wheel Japanese auto imports during the 1980s twilight of the Cold War. In an interesting synchronicity, James as a younger man also brushed by--but didn't stop to speak with--Max Keiser in 2009, on the streets of Moscow near the old Park Kultury brown Garden Ring/Koltsevaya line station. That was back when Max and his partner Stacy were doing the Keiser Report show on RT. Today Max and Stacy are arguably as a couple, the promoters-in-chief of El Salvador and its President Nayib Bukele. Truth is stranger than fiction. Truth is also, as we used to say at RogueNews, currency.

22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, 23 but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

In this article, I am about to share critical, key information with you that is known by only 50 or so people in the entire world, at most. That number is dwindling, as many of the individuals that are or were involved in various “operations” have succumbed to old age or who still have yet to “come in from the cold." Others are still serving their master/masters and are now serving at the highest levels, planning and instigating the “magical” global events taking place.

What the Guerrilla hopes to do by this piece is to create a very deep level of understanding and assist the reader to view these global moves--past, present and future--for what they truly are: theater for the profane and psychological alchemy. We are witnessing nothing less than what my intelligence cohort, "W,” has aptly called a magic show. The magic show is filled with misdirection, pomp and distractions--all meant to create wonderment and awe within the spectator, which, at its base, leads to powerlessness and child-like dependence.

Our collective present circumstance can be traced directly back to the end of World War II and the pedestal onto which America was thrust as the last man standing, as a world superpower with reserve currency status. It all began when it became strikingly clear that the Japanese were about to lose the war. The elite began to plan in earnest, at least a full year before the Japanese defeat, to reposition America as the last driver of change--the engine that would bring about the governance of human kind by the “select few." "A new dawn, an era of enlightenment," they say, but it is nothing short of gross darkness.

The Land of The Rising Sun

[Since the Meiji Era], Japan has been a very powerful country. Two-thousand years prior to Japan's birth, Chinese culture and influence permeated much of Asia. In turn, Chinese philosophies, martial arts, sciences, grid cities, language, math, and medicine were all influenced by India, and [Vedic civilization in] India had been influenced in centuries past by Sumer. Eventually, the young “Wa” people grew their island nation into a vast and powerful regional power, even challenging the accepted dominance of their parent culture, China.

Eventually, the 20th century dawned and Japan continued to adapt and advance, while China, now a long time enemy and rival, languished in the doldrums of societal stagnation. China was nothing great and was so divided within herself that she, along side India, was weak and ripe for the picking.

In the early dawn rays of the new century, the first sounds of war were the cannons of the Japanese and the Russians. The Russo-Japanese war began full swing between the two powers in Manchuria over territorial disputes regarding the Korean Peninsula and the Yellow Sea. The Russians, practicing expansionism since the 16th century, had always yearned (like they do today) for a warm water port. The problem is that Japan is also on an empire-building kick. The eventual battle which kicked off at Port Arthur Naval Base, leased to the Russians by the Chinese, was a surprise attack launched by the Japanese Navy. Needless to say, the Russo-Japanese war resulted in an absolute beating for the Russians, who at that time were considered a major world power with a “vaunted” navy. With victory over the Russians complete, the Japanese put the world on notice, letting the world know they had arrived.

The Build Up To WW2 with Japan in the Pacific

So what was Japan up to shortly after the Russo-Japanese War and WWI? Why they were expanding with ruthless abandon. They felt that their control over the Asian lands and the South Pacific was their divine destiny. Along the way, the new kid on the power block began to build up a fearsome reputation for brutality, stemming from such talked about incidents as the inhumane acts committed all over China, the Philippines, and so forth. Japan's brutal acts became topics of fear and lore.

What the elites saw was an industrious, and new global power, that could be harnessed and used for their purposes. After all, “they” had both a plan and paradigm to maintain. Thus, using the United States--as well as it’s allies [in Great Britain]--the planners began to position the fledgling Japanese Empire for war. Japan’s singular weakness is that it is an island. The fact that it is an island means that all of the necessities needed to maintain its ‘Empire” had to brought in, in particular, oil. Oil is the life blood of economies and war machines, without which a nation and its military die, and are no more.

Immediately, as if on cue, with the Western world reeling from a global economic Depression and the US needing a war to jump start its economy from catatonic stage to vibrant, the “central planners” and banksters decided they needed a war--a really BIG WAR. Japan, for the most part, steered clear of the West and Europe, choosing only to trade with them. This war was was to be focused on carving up the East and provoking a potential show down with its long time rival, Russia.

Declassified reports prove that the US did everything in its power to provoke war with the Japanese, who had no intention of getting into a major two-front conflict with the US. Unrelenting pressures from sanctions, coupled with threats to cut off Japan's oil supply, were simply too much to bear. The Japanese needed to respond to US political aggression. The US, and FDR in particular, knew full well that the Japanese would strike on Pearl Harbor. After all, months before the attack, they intercepted Admiral Yamamoto’s communique stating, “We will attack the Americans at Pearl Harbor and deal a death blow to the United States Pacific Fleet.”

The strategy of Pearl Harbor was to eliminate or greatly nullify the US’s projection of power in the Pacific; the target was always the Pacific Fleet. The central planners made sure that as much of the Pacific Fleet as possible was "available" on that “day of infamy,” December 7th 1941, [with the curious exception of the US Navy's fleet carriers]. The Japanese Navy yelled, “Tora, Tora, Tora!!!!” as they began their assault on Oahu. Through their assault on Pearl Harbor, they fell right into the hands of the “planners,” changing the world's course, and their future, forevermore.

Post WW2 Japan / From Ground Zero To Economic Powerhouse

There are two major names that we need to know in order to understand post-war Japanese reconstruction and how Japan blossomed into a vibrant economy. At the end of the war, returning soldiers added to the already strained and non-existent economy. Inflation was rampant and much the country was ruled by oligarchical families [later known as the zaibatsu] who owned businesses like Mitsubishi and Sumitomo, essentially monopolizing much of Japan’s pre- and post-war economy. The oligarchs needed to be done away with and the entire country needed to be restructured in order to nullify the inflation, stop corruption, create growth, and release the creative industriousness of the Japanese people.

The first thing that happened for the short-term good of Japan was that General Douglas MacArthur became Supreme Allied Commander of the Japanese theater from 1941 -1951. MacArthur (whom the Guerrilla admires) moved swiftly to break up the oligarchs' [monpolistic cartels] and worked very hard in order to get the right individuals, like Joseph M. Dodge, to bring the economics under control. The policies that were instituted were vast and on the surface, Japan was a success. Underneath, however, there was a broader agenda at work. The opportunity to control the vast talent and resources that Japan possessed was irresistible.

Western firms began working closely with their Japanese counterparts and there was sharing of technology, systems and processes/philosophies [such as Kaizen or continuous improvement], all of which led to a dramatic rise from 1950 onwards. The next major segment of the Japanese economy that needed to function was a new and revitalized Stock Exchange, headquartered in Tokyo. The new Tokyo Stock Exchange opened it’s doors in May 16, 1949, triggering the pouring-in of the much needed investments [from Wall Street].

The foundation was set. Although MacArthur was highly respected among the Japanese, other “Gaijin,” or foreigners, were not so easily trusted. Just as in all the nations that the Neo-Satanic Cabal has their eyes on, is the fact that just about every man has a price and can be “bought off,” exploited, or blackmailed. The Bankster Cabal moved swiftly. They moved in quickly, posting the new stock exchange under the corporate name, Kabushiki Gaisha, an organization that has 9 Directors, 8 Executives and 4 Auditors. Some of these individuals are of dubious loyalties and have various carnal proclivities. In other words, they are easily influenced when the “What’s in it for me” nature of man comes to the surface.

One thing to bear in mind is that Japanese Emperors have always been related, however distantly, to the European Royals. This was held in secret for much of history and most famously surfaced when Emperor Hirohito’s predecessor, Emperor Taisho, wore his “Order of The Garter” regalia in grand state events. For those who don’t know the real significance of the Order Of The Garter, be aware that it is THE club for “family,” and in the right context, it is a roundtable. So, the Emperor will do what is best for the “Order” and will play whatever role is required in the grand theater that is the politics and conflicts of “man.”

For the sake of time, it should not come as a surprise that the reborn “Phoenix” that is Japan is an entity that has been created for the express purpose of controlling the greater Asia Pacific region [hence the establishment of the Trilateral Commission with Japanese participants in the 1970s, with the US and Europe as the other points of the world-order triangle], bringing into play the next stage of calamity, the final phase of the emerging New Order of the Ages. Japan was built up in such a way that at one time, her economy was the second largest in the world, her stock and equities markets the biggest on the planet at one point, yet she was not allowed to have a powerful military. Japan was set up for another kind of war….economic war on the Russians and the Chinese.

The Best Enemy Money Can Buy -- The Wall Street Origins of the Bolshevik Revolution and the Secret Capitalist Support for Communism

To understand the key role that Japan played in the 1980s takedown of the Soviet Union, a little background information is required. When it came to the Neo-Satanists' designs for the United States and its roles in the formation of the New Order of the Ages, it was decided that the US would be the primary military engine, and overtly and covertly, through force and subterfuge, cause the creation of their global superstate. Thus, in order for this to be achieved, the US must always be engaged in continued currency devaluation, the Dollar losing over 98% of its value since the 1913 establishment of the Federal Reserve, a tragedy for American citizens but a boon to the bankers. America must also be embroiled in perpetual war, never ceasing, never ending, always a new enemy to fight, and if there isn’t one--create one.

World War I set up World War II, and World War II set up the Cold War and the Korean War. The armistice ending the Korean War set up war in a divided between a similarly North and South Vietnam, so on and so forth, to the point where the War On Terror has been setting up World War III. When Japan was defeated in 1945, there arose a great power vacuum in the Asia Pacific. Immediately, the Neo-Satanic Rockefeller faction went to work to find, fund and build their strong man, Mao Tse Tung--just like the Rockefellers had built up, funded and protected the Communists in Russia. Suddenly we were living in a perfect bipolar world of East vs West, of Freedom vs Communism. No one could have written a better script.

The fall of Imperial Japan was watched closely by the Chinese, who, after witnessing the US coddle, build up and strengthen Japan, was incensed that the US would build up their historic enemy. This was occurring with all the atrocities, especially the Rape of Nanking, still fresh in Chinese minds. Only a handful understood what was really going on and why. The embrace of Japan into the West slammed shut the Bamboo Curtains of China and she closed herself off again from the rest of the world, until a future appointed time.

For decades, since “The Big One” ended, there was global tension as the Cold War grew intense. For Russia and China, who were also historic enemies, their [Soviet era] political alliances proved to be flakey. Multiple times there were border disputes and clashes between the Russians and their “fraternal socialist Allies." These skirmishes happen when nations, be they Communistic or nominally democratic but oligarchic in nature, have a desire to expand and conquer. This tension between China and Russia was something that would be used by the Globalist Chess Masters to their advantage when the “appointed time” came. They needed this tension for the eventual goal, a Trilateral Model, where three regions competed for influence, power and resources. This model would be championed by the infamous Trilateral Commission [that the Rockefeller family championed to bring US, European and Japanese globalists together].

To save space, an example of this model went live when a recent border skirmish in Siberia between Russians and Chinese squatters, who began to illegally cross into the border and settle in the 1960s. The tension became so hot that the Soviet Union was about to risk armed intervention, which would have led to war with China, with ensuing fighting for the mineral-rich Siberian region. This would derail much of the grand chess board plans of the Neo-Satanists. Rather than risk that, the Trilateralist Dulles brothers began immediate work destabilizing French Indochina with enough racial, and sectarian upheaval so that all that was needed was a false flag. Boom! Gulf Of Tonkin incident and American G.I.s were swarming all over the line of demarcation--Vietnam War was on. The Russians breathed a sigh of relief.

During and after the War in Vietnam, which was about furthering the conflict of East vs West and establishing the lucrative narcotics export trade from the Southeast Asian Golden Triangle, the world became more polarized. As the Soviets supplied SA-2 SAMs and Kalashnikovs that killed American pilots and GIs in Vietnam, the Soviet Union and America seemed like they would once again be on a collision course. Within the next few years after “Nam,” an incredible twist of an event would occur that not only changed so many things then, but is arguably the single greatest catalyst to America being in the position that she is in.

The Real Red October: K129

What The Guerrilla is about to divulge is something that he has been mulling over his mind, over and over again, and in deep conversation with his good buddy, the Intelligence Insider, “W." When we are not talking high performance cars generating, at a minimum, 600 horsepower, we are spending time “Think-Tanking." We share ideas and check and recheck to see where we are and where we are heading. Other sources include my informants in the BRICS, NY Fed, and the boys in “The City. [of London]" The following detailed information contains secrets known to less than 50 people in the entire world. Thus, as members of Rogue Money, you have now become elite in real ultra-black information.

On February 24, 1968, a Soviet Golf II class diesel electric ballistic missile submarine set sail from the Russian secret submarine base in the Kamchatka peninsula. It was supposed to be a routine mission, but nothing about the fateful events that day or those leading the mission were anything but routine. The sub was reported missing March 8, 1968, the Soviet Navy sent a flotilla of vessels and aircraft, with their most sensitive gear, trying to find the “missing sub” by mid-April. She was eventually declared lost with all hands at sea.

That's the cover story. Here is what really happened:

When K129 pulled into the Kamchatka submarine base, it was returning from its latest deployment. Typically what would occur is that the sub would spend quite a bit of time under going systems check and routine maintenance, known as ROH (Refueling and Over Haul). In some cases, this process could takes months, but not so with K129. An order was given from the very top to have her crew and the sub go back out at sea immediately. The catch, though, is that an additional 9 crew members were to join the mission/deployment. This is significant, in that a sub the size of the Golf II could not comfortably squeeze an additional 9 crew members in it’s cramped, sauna-like compartment.

The sub departed the base on February 24, 1968, with the mission to initiate the greatest false flag attack in world history. The orders received were not from the USSR high command, but from a rogue faction within the Soviet political/military complex. This rogue faction was working closely with the nefarious globalist factions that control much of the world. The plan was to have the the Golf II simulate a Chinese Golf I submarine, thus it would initiate a missile strike that is within the known range of a Golf I’s capabilities. On March 8th K129 traveled to within 350 miles of the Hawaiian islands (the known firing range for Chinese Golf I subs) in order to fire a nuclear medium-range ballistic missile. The goal was to nuke Pearl Harbor and blame it on the Chinese, thus relieving the pressure on the USSR by creating a US /China war. K129 obviously failed.

The evidence:

When K129 stopped its radio communications and scheduled call-ins, the Soviet naval commanders knew something had gone terribly wrong. They immediately launched an all-out search for the missing sub. The incredibly large Soviet Naval activity in the Pacific immediately triggered the US to take notice. Americans knew right away, based on the vessels involved, that the Russians had lost a sub.

The wreck of K129 could not be found, despite an exhaustive search by the Russians. The Russians, and even the “rogue faction” in the Soviet Political/Military complex, believed that no one would be able to find the sub, as she was most probably resting on the ocean floor at least 17,000 ft below the surface of the Pacific. There was no technology available at that time to find, let alone to salvage the wreck.

The US, curious to know what a Soviet sub was doing so close to Hawaiian waters, immediately began searching to see if there were any records of it passing through US sonar nets arrayed throughout the Pacific. Sure enough, the US SOSUS (Sound Surveillance System) system picked up a low resonance reading approximately 800 miles off Hawaii, in addition to detecting the explosion that sank the sub.

The Americans thought they could attempt to find the sub for the Russians, not to mention the possibility that they might recover the SS-N-5 Serb nuclear missile. The US Navy also detected a faint trace of nuclear warhead material residue in the water, which really raised curiosities and spurred the drive to find out what really happened to K129. The USS Halibut, a specially modified submarine, was launched to find K129. The Halibut used a towed camera array that could skim the ocean floor at great depths so that images could be taken.

The USS Halibut found K129 and began taking over 35,000 pictures from every conceivable angle. What the pictures showed was something quite shocking. The sub did not implode, it exploded! One of the most shocking photos was one of a sailor lying outside of the sub wearing a fur coat and hat. Why would someone wear a heavy winter coat when subs back then were usually hot and humid places to work? The answer was too shocking for the US. The Golf II submarine could not fire its missile while submerged, it had to surface, and when it did surface, a crewman was tasked with going outside and making sure that the launch tubes were clear. He would then stay outside during the firing of the missile, protected in a blast shield area in the conning tower. In other words, the evidence was as clear as day--K129 was in the middle of a missile launch when something went wrong and the missile exploded on launch. It did not trigger the nuclear warhead detonating, but the blast of ballistic missile propellant was enough to sink the vessel and create the trace amounts of nuclear residue in the water from the missile warhead.

In light of this shocking evidence, a full-on salvage operation was put into play by then President, Richard Nixon. He sanctioned the CIA with the task of salvaging the sub, a feat that was as technologically challenging as going to Mars. The CIA launched Operation Azorian and sanctioned the building of what was then the most expensive submersible in US history, the Hughes Glomar Explorer. The boat cost a whopping $400 million plus (over $1.3 Billion today), the cost of a then-new Nimitz class air craft carrier (CVN). The overall project was projected to be over $800 million or about $4 billion dollars today!!

The Hughes Glomar Explorer was equipped with a claw designed to bring up K129 section by section. The most amazing technology was that the ship could lower this claw 17,000 feet under the surface, all the while remaining stable. One has to wonder why billions were spent on a ship and project just to get one sunk, low-tech Soviet sub?

Revelations from the Deep as the Back story for Nixon Going to China

When the Glomar Explorer was able to get sections of the sub on board, what they found was earth-shattering. They found that when the explosion occurred, the original crew (from paperwork and investigation) were locked in their crew compartments, some were even writing farewell letters to their girlfriends and wives when the explosion sent them to the ocean abyss. What they also found was that the active crew that initiated the launch were the 9 extra crewmen. Translation: saboteurs who were not very experienced in launching a nuclear missile.

There are many competing theories, but the one that is the closest to the truth is this: The sub was designed to fail, the launch was supposed to go awry. The following events will prove just that. President Richard Nixon, one of the highest IQ men to ever occupy the Oval Office, knew something about the sub, otherwise there would have been no reason whatsoever for them to salvage it; there would have been no reason for them to spend the billions in 2015 equivalent dollars to salvage an obsolete sub and one released nuclear missile. The real reason that K129 was salvaged was for leverage.

No sooner had the sub been salvaged, the US sent Henry Kissinger (a lifelong Rockefeller family agent and committed conspirator of the New World Order) to China, the previously closed-off country behind the Bamboo Curtain. What Kissinger arranged in the background was for the Chinese to send some experts of their own to view the wreckage, photos, and recovered remains of the Soviet crew, and see the damage to the sunken K129. Chinese observers were dispatched to the Hughes Glomar Explorer to survey the evidence. What Nixon and Kissinger did was use the K129 incident as the needed leverage to open up China! They presented the PRC with the evidence and only conceivable scenario that made sense--a Soviet false flag that would entangle the US and China in a nuclear war (China had recently detonated its first atomic bomb in the early 1960s but had yet to build a hydrogen bomb or reliable ICBMs at that time). At this juncture, an ailing Chairman Mao opened China to the US and juiced by cheap Chinese labor, the American economy accelerated to heights never before seen.

The opening of China boosted the American economy by 50%, buying time for the U.S. after Nixon was forced to take the dollar off the gold standard in 1971. Since the 1980s our economy has grown 50% larger than we would have been if it were not for the Chinese opening up their enormous labor markets to American investments, allowing Chinese goods to be sold on store shelves in the United States. Russia/China relations naturally, took a big step back, though Gorbachev pursued a weak effort at Sino-Soviet reconciliation right before the USSR collapsed.

K129 was also the impetus that drove and motivated President Ronald Reagan, for when he was briefed with the highly classified information about it upon taking office, he declared to certain staffers, “not [never again] on my watch.” At this point, the Russians were no longer viewed as just a geo-strategic rival, but became in Reagan's mind “the Evil Empire" which posed a much greater risk of triggering nuclear war than previously thought. Reagan was steeled in his resolve to topple the Soviet Union, and K129 was a major source of motivation for him to do so.

"The Mischief Engine" Goes Active Against the Perestroika-era USSR

Reagan began implementing CIA operational funds and strategies to begin to take down the Soviet economy. He knew that the Soviets were weak economically and very slow to react to change in their economy due to the fact that they maintained a centrally-planned, bureaucratically-bloated economy. The plans were two-pronged. The first plan was easy: collapse the price of oil to make it non-viable for any sort of Russian oil industry investment. This was easily achieved when oil collapsed to $6-$8 a barrel ($20-$40 today). This action destroyed the Soviet economy that was so heavily dependent on energy exports to finance imports of grain to feed the people (inefficient collective farming having failed to sufficiently feed Russians).

The second strike was Ruble hyperinflation. The Guerrilla’s longtime source, “W,” was intimately involved in bringing this to pass. The first thing that was done was parking massive amounts of UST instruments Japanese banks. The banks would then go to the BOJ borrowing window and use the UST as collateral for Yen leveraged out as much as 10x. The Yen was then used to do carry trades and various other means to soak up as many Rubles as possible to get them off the market, causing the USSR Central Bank to start printing to alleviate the cash shortfall. Soon that was not even enough. The US began to counterfeit Rubles, using the very same type of paper and stolen USSR money plates to do it. They then took the counterfeit Rubles and poured them into various Russian Mafia figures, the Vory v Zakone or 'thieves in law', who knew nothing of what was being done. The Russian Mafia were also coaxed into printing their own counterfeit [rubles]. Eventually the Ruble, due to all the printing and buying of the currency, became absolutely toxic. By the end of December 1991, the Ruble was in crippling inflation and the USSR was no more.

Even today with the precious metals prices being manipulated, more and more evidence is emerging proving what the Guerrilla has been saying for some time about the role of Japan. The price of Gold has an inverse relationship with the NIKKEI, when the NIKKEI goes up Gold goes down, When the NIKKEI goes down, gold goes up.

Furthermore what the exact tactic is has been revealed as well. Short yen, long NIKKEI, short gold. The way that this is achieved as told by the Guerrilla's "City" of London sources is that all of it occurs in the REPO market. This type of selling in the REPO markets is being done by institutions, Investment firms and Central Banks. To make matters worse to insure that the seller will not default on his promise to buy back/repurchase, the buyer collateralizes it and chopped up into various CDO's (Collateralized Debt Obligations). A derivative is created putting further stress upon the fragile system.

Evidence is mounting that when there is a shortfall in funding cost in the REPO market then there is a smash in the gold price.

The shocking thing about this just as it was back in the late 80s in the takedown of the Ruble, the primary currency taking the the brunt of the weight was the Yen, accounting for 60% of the transactional activity. The same thing is happening again this time with all the bond fraud, USD manipulations and derivatives.
