Will Trump Order a US Re-invasion of Panama?
ESW Interview 4 with Michael Yon

ESW sat down late Tuesday night March 18, 2025 with our favorite returning guest, Michael Yon, who had requested that we speak about the Trump Administration's determination to take back direct US military control around the Panama Canal. Panama happens to be one of the countries in which ESW (via our sister firm Royal Amparo DMCC) vaults gold for our clients.
In Michael's opinion, US military action or the alternative of compelled negotiations to return US armed forces to the Canal Zone are not only highly likely, but imminent during the Central American dry season. The photo above is of Panamanian kids posing with toy guns and cell phone/s next to a U.S. soldier during Operation Just Cause, the late 1989 invasion of Panama to depose and capture 'ex' CIA drug running asset General Manuel Noriega.
For those unfamiliar with his work, Michael is a former US Army Green Beret who served in the late 1980s and an independent international correspondent. We first corresponded with Michael through his website MichaelYon.com in late autumn 2005, when he was embedded with an elite US Army Stryker Brigade known as Deuce 4 at the northern apex of Iraq's Sunni insurgent 'Triangle of Death' in Mosul. Michael has visited 99 countries, and most recently gave his third interview with ESW in December from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In addition to being a historian and collector of rare and first edition books, Michael primarily covers global conflicts and now, mass migration. Or what might be more accurately termed immivasion by military age males as a key portion of 5th generation warfare. 5GW is not just waged by human trafficking drug cartels and national governments, but also via powerful globalists and transnational organizations they fund as well.
In addition to the current state of Panamanian politics and the country's special status as home to an estimated 20,000 American citizens, a great number of them military retirees, Michael and I also discussed the history of the Panama Canal's construction and marketing to global shippers following the isthmus' U.S. engineered secession from Colombia in the 1900s. We touched on Gulf Arab investors as potential alternatives to Blackrock acquiring China's holdings in the Canal ports from CK Hutchison Holdings, plus likely diplomatic condemnation from Great Britain and other European powers if Trump actually orders US Southern Command to (re)invade the country.
We also talked about the rising potential for violence in Ireland, as many Irish believe their government is deliberately swamping rural towns and villages with migrants, most of whom are military age males, not families with children. We concluded our hour and 15 minute long interview discussing Michael's recent interview of the Romanian dissident presidential candidate Călin Georgescu.
We plan to have Michael back on the ESW program later this spring, after the Easter week.
