Biden State Dept's Confiscation of USMC Veteran Scott Ritter's Passport

On Monday June 3, 2024 former US Marine and United Nations Iraq weapons inspector Scott Ritter was boarding a Turkish Airlines flight in New York bound for an Istanbul stopover before flying on to Russia, when two Customs and Border Patrol agents boarded the aircraft and confiscated his U.S. Passport. The CBP officers would not give him a reason for the confiscation, only stating that they did it on orders from the U.S. State Department, which was revoking Ritter's passport.

Ritter's destination of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which is held every year in early June, was known to the Internet-viewing public and the Russian as well as American authorities. Ritter is a regular guest on Russia's RT TV as well as many alternative media YouTube and Rumble channels. During a recent visit to Russia, Ritter also gave a pep talk speech to thousands of assembled Chechen soldiers bound for the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone in Ukraine, telling them he hoped for peace between the U.S. and Russia when they emerged victorious over the Kiev regime.

Online Trolls Point to Scott Ritter's Past Conviction as a Deflection from the Biden Administration's Violation of his 1st and 4th Amendment Rights in the Present

Whatever you think of Scott Ritter and his conviction after an online sting operation involving a police officer posing as a mid-teens girl in 2009, the offense for which Ritter entered into a plea agreement did not involve an actual minor, and it occurred 15 years ago. Ritter has since married a woman named Marina and changed his life for the better.

As for the charge of 'treason' spewed by the pro-Ukraine and likely Kiev intelligence service-directed troll network known as NAFO, Ritter has been a private citizen holding no active security clearances for many years since he left the United States Marine Corps. However as a former clearance-holding Marine Corps intelligence officer Ritter has routinely informed the U.S. government of his travel itineraries in Russia. Ritter stated that he was targeted by the Biden Administration on June 3, 2024 precisely to hinder his participation in the SPIEF and his plans to film a documentary about life in wartime across Russia with a Russian film crew.

As of this publication, Ritter has not received his passport back, nor any warrant or judge’s order justifying its seizure. Ritter is declaring that his 4th Amendment right against warrantless searches and seizures has been violated, in an effort to stifle his 1st Amendment right to freedom of speech as well.

Cold War 1 vs Cold War 2 Role Reversals

During the last Cold War, U.S. public diplomacy hinged in no small part on the fact that the 'free world' had no need to restrict its citizens from visiting the Soviet Union and taking Intourist excursions around Moscow. It was the Soviet Bloc which kept its citizens behind a Berlin Wall, part of an Iron Curtain that included strict visa controls hindering their serfs from visiting the West, lest they leave for good. It was the Soviets who for decades feared the flow of information from the other side, jamming RadioFreeEurope/RadioLiberty or Voice of America (that is, the Broadcasting Board of Governors, where Tucker Carlson's dad worked during the Reagan Administration) with typically poor results--especially for those short-wave signals at night. Whereas the West made no effort to jam Radio Moscow with its lovely recordings of the Bolshoi orchestras or Soviet opera performers. And it was Moscow which proselytized--with certain concessions to realism for the Arab world plus Muslim Afghanistan--Soviet atheism and anti-clericalism. Oh how the tables have turned…with the GAE (pronounced GAY) flying the new imperial rainbow flags from US consulates and pushing LGBT as an ideology abroad.

Nowadays the European Union bans RT as dangerous subversive propaganda, while any Russian can read the Brussels secretariat's justifications for the 14th or 15th round of sanctions against Russia. For its part, Russia bans LGBT propaganda targeting minors--although homosexual acts are legal in private homes--while promoting respect for Russia's traditional religions and family values. Meanwhile, the U.S. State Dept and corporate America promote LGBT, especially during this Pride Month. With a few concessions to public opinion in Muslim countries, State Dept. employees often fly the imperial rainbow flag over American consulates, regardless of socially conservative host country traditions. The woke Foreign Service Officers (FSOs) even flew the LGBT banner at the U.S. Mission to the Holy See in Rome.

A predictable result of all this is woke mil/natsec publications like Defense One scratching their heads over the U.S. losing the battle for hearts and minds in Africa and other parts of the Global South to Russia and to a lesser extent, the highly pragmatic Red Chinese. Whatever could be the reason? Maybe celebrating preteens attending Pride Parades or putting kids on puberty blockers evokes horror and disgust among traditionalists or even secular normies old enough to remember the normalcy of President Reagan’s America, all over the world?

So Long as the U.S. is Officially Declaring it's Not at War with Russia, No American Can Be Declared a Criminal for Going to Russia or Asserting a Pro-Russian Viewpoint

Today, as the State Department spokesmen including 'Admiral' John Kirby never fail to repeat at press conferences, the United States of America is not in a state of war with the Russian Federation. The Biden Administration insists with a straight face that the U.S. is not a direct party to the war being fought in Ukraine.

Of course, these are insulting US government lies, insults to the intelligence of every Russian, as well as to every American spouse and son or daughter of the servicemen they are not-so-covertly deploying to Ukraine. Given that US-made GLMRS and ATACMs missiles are almost certainly being programmed to strike their pre-2014 Russian borders targets by US servicemen, or at least recently discharged from active duty service U.S. contractors. Sorry NAFO, but you aren't fooling anybody--many of the Ukrainian servicemen aiding the launches of these wunderwaffen are doing little more than physically loading the rockets onto the launchers or driving the launcher, the crane truck or command truck to the next launch point. For the Ukrainians to do much more than that would require literally months of training time which Kiev's forces simply didn't have as their 1980s vintage Soviet S300 and BUK systems were depleted or destroyed.

How Americans Are Presently Engaged as Disavowed Combatants with Russian Forces

As for the gold-plated, billion-dollar Patriot missile batteries, both sides of this war know damn well they are only nominally commanded by the Ukrainians, with direct American boots on the ground live 'tech support'. A Patriot is after all a tad more sophisticated to operate than the 'Flying Telephone Pole' Soviet SA-2s of the Vietnam War, but far less successful than that model which shot down thousands of US aircraft--mostly without Soviet advisors having to set up each battery for the North Vietnamese.

In Kiev's desperate effort to stop round-the-clock standoff glide bombing strikes by the Russian Air Force which are killing or wounding hundreds of Ukrainian servicemen every day, these Patriot batteries have been placed within firing range of pre-2014 Russian air space, that is within a few dozen miles of Russia's Belgorod and Kursk regions. But these Patriots still aren't succeeding in shooting down very many Russian jets, suggesting that the mixed American/Ukrainian Patriot crews are spending much of their time keeping their radars off, awaiting targeting data from US satellites passing overhead, trying to dodge Russian drones that can lase them as a target for a Krasnopol artillery round or put a Lancet kamikaze drone into their SAM launcher, blowing their Patriot missiles sky high.

No American Owes Kiev--Which is Not Even a Treaty Ally of the U.S.--Any Loyalty

From the perspective of legality, there cannot be any question of Ritter's speech to some Chechen Russian servicemen who may have later unwittingly fired on American advisors in Ukraine meeting the U.S. Constitution's definition of "giving aid and comfort" to an enemy. Nor are American active duty servicemen supposed to be engaged in combat with Russian forces in Ukraine without Congressional authorization--the War Powers Resolution of 1973 was enacted by Congress to prevent this very sort of 'boil the frog' mission creep escalation; from sending arms to trainers, to combat advisors and soon open impossible to disavow combatant deaths which marked growing American involvement in the Southeast Asian quagmire.

Despite the similarities in Biden's endemic lying about Ukraine to the lies of his Democratic predecessor Lyndon Baines Johnson, Ukraine is still not Vietnam when it comes to the number of Americans coming back in caskets. There is no current counterpart to 'Hanoi' Jane Fonda posing on an anti-aircraft gun that was used to shoot at American flyers--an action the actress later apologized to Vietnam veterans for, saying that she will regret to her dying day. But neither does any Administration or a 'friendly' foreign state's online troll army have the right to conflate loyalty to the United States with a demand for loyalty to a wartime dictatorship over 4,000 miles from our shores, exalted to the status of the greatest proxy force in American history--the Zelensky regime-led Ukrainian State. Which has been busy press-ganging the Ukrainian male population while demanding Ukrainian males who've already left since 2022 be repatriated against their will.

Why Are Veterans Like Ritter Being Targeted Now? Could the Administration Be Moving Ahead of Revelations of KIA'd American Servicemen Killed by Russian Missiles and Bombs in Ukraine? And Which Veteran Critic of the Ukraine War Will Be Next to Have Their Passport Revoked?

As ESW Patreon contributor and US Army officer Stanislav Krapivnik has repeated on his YouTube channel as well as in guest appearances on others' alt media programs, the operation of Patriots and HIMARS by American veterans, and the high priority the Russian military attaches to hunting and destroying these systems using a combination of drones and pro-Russian civilian informants in the Ukrainian rear, practically guarantees that at least several US Army 13Ms or 14Z 'formers' sheep-dipped into Ukraine as contractors have been killed or wounded in action. Unlike special forces veterans, but similar to any 'volunteer' F16 pilots, such levels of military specialty cannot be disavowed as simple grunt volunteers who felt moved to fight for Ukraine following the call of their hearts.

As this editor has remarked to a few people in the legacy media, the quasi-wartime blackout on American rocket artillery or air defense specialists wounded in Ukraine medevac'd to the US Army hospital in Landstuhl, Germany or now undergoing rehabilitation for lost limbs or blast injuries at Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland has been remarkably effective. Until now.

Given how tightly knit the US Army Patriot and HIMARS alumni communities can be, it's a dead certainty that even strict Non-Disclosure Agreements stipulating payments to survivors contingent on their silence will not prevent disgruntled friends or relatives who knew their dear one was in Ukraine before they died from anonymously contacting journalists. The 'October Surprise' of Donald Trump saying, "Say their names" of non-disavowable American combatants KIA'd in Ukraine at one of his campaign rallies is a political nightmare for the Uniparty Blob, who insisted Kiev never asked us to send American soldiers to fight for them--another lie. But this latest ham-handed move to intimidate US military veteran critics of the war by confiscating Ritter's passport is most likely an attempt by the Biden Administration to buy time for damage control over the summer.

Which begs the next question--who will have their passport confiscated next by this Administration? The already-hated by the U.S. deep state but pardoned by President Trump Gen. Michael Flynn (USA ret)? Or NAFO bete noir and frequent Tucker Carlson guest Col. Douglas Macgregor (USA ret)? Or perhaps Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) former CIA presidential brief preparer for Presidents Reagan and Bush 41, Larry Johnson, who had an interview with Judge Andrew Napolitano recorded this week from St. Petersburg?

The Biden Administration is Increasingly Alarming U.S. Billionaires and the World With Its Authoritarian Crackdown on its Political Opponents

The Biden Administration State Department revoked Scott Ritter's passport, and did so in a characteristically vindictive way, ensuring he would be pulled off his New York-departing flight by armed Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) police officers, rather than being informed days or weeks in advance of his trip. Coincidentally or not, the violation of Ritter's Constitutional rights came days after an absurd show trial of Biden's chief political opponent Donald Trump delivering a ludicrous verdict across town in New York--Trump guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records over a single, entirely legal non-disclosure payment to a porn star.

After talk radio host Alex Jones alleged over the weekend an attempt by the feds to seize his Austin, Texas recording studio under color of Sandy Hook bankruptcy settlement violations, news of the 'coincidental' targeting of Biden Admin political opponents kept rolling in on Monday June 3, 2024. The same day the CFO of a Chinese-American led conservative news organization The Epoch Times was indicted on charges of money laundering, allegedly to the tune of hundreds of millions.

Apparently The Epoch Times staunch anti-Chinese Communist Party stance and whispers from certain multipolar alt-media circles that the newspaper received start up funding from Langley's few remaining token religious conservatives didn't spare this organization from the Biden DOJ dropping the hammer on its pro-Trump, anti-deep state abuses stance. As V the Guerrilla Economist likes to say to his RogueNews regular guests V for Veles and Gus Demos of Perpetual Playa, the last few months have been an education for the milquetoast and useless Republicans in the exercise of raw power by the Democrats.

Getting a Second Passport is a Hedge Against the Regime Prohibiting You from Travel and/or Attempting to Strand You as a Stateless Person Abroad

While a second citizenship is not an impenetrable shield against nakedly politicized prosecution--just ask St. Kitts and Nevis citizen Roger Ver, who renounced his U.S. citizenship several years ago--a second passport can protect you against the Scott Ritter scenario, when an American's right to travel is curtailed through malicious confiscation of their U.S. passport without charge or trial. Another scenario is ending up like Edward Snowden, having your passport cancelled so that whichever country you happen to be in at that moment must of necessity either grant you asylum or deport you back to the tender mercies of the deep state.

Given the high likelihood of another election in 2024 similar or worse than the mass mail-in ballot fraud which happened in 2020, we recommend any prominent Biden critic or US dissident who can afford to do so apply for a second passport as soon as possible. Do not wait until after November 5, 2024. If Donald Trump is somehow elected the 47th President of the United States, then you will still have another citizenship legacy to pass on to your children.
