ESW Eurasia Editor Stanislav Krapivnik with Special Guest Sonja van den Ende
Who Lived in Syria for 20 Years, Describing Syrian Life Under the New Regime

ESW Eurasia Editor Stas Krapivnik hosted Sonja van den Ende, a refugee who fled Syria for Russia after living in the Levant for 20 years, including from 2011 to 2019 during the externally funded Syrian Civil War. Ms. Van Den Ende was married to an Allawite Syrian man for a number of years, and several of her former husband's relatives whom she is helping leave are still in the country.
Sonja van den Ende explains how the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) was overwhelmed in late 2024 by a blitzkrieg coordinated between Israel, Turkey, plus Ukrainian/NATO advisors to the Hayat Tahrir al Sham (HTS) aka 'ex' Al-Qaeda jihadists.

Don't miss this interview for some perspective from Alawite Syrians you won't hear in the legacy media.
