Our buddy Tim Kirby the Most Russian American walks through one of the first homes going up for the American Villages in Russia at Istra, just one hour's drive from the heart of Moscow.
In this short 7 minute video clip, Tim shows the thick rebar-constructed concrete walls that are 7.87 inches deep (20 centimeters) and window slits for the 3.14 inch-thick (8 centimeters) panes. These homes are built to stay cool at peak Moscow region summers when you will likely only need a European stand up air conditioner or a window unit for the bedroom and to stay cozy and warm with radiated battereya heat during the coldest Russian winters. For Americans and Canadians who did not know such an inviting suburban lifestyle with all the utilities/amenities plus English-speaking neighbors was possible in Russia, show them the above short video.
